If you are in need of a flexible comfort solution for parts of your home that aren’t getting enough heating or cooling, ductless mini splits provide an ideal answer. They are incredibly easy to install, and because they don’t rely on a ductwork system, they work much more efficiently than a traditional forced-air system.
Ductless mini splits are only composed of three components which is why the installation process is so simple. There is an outdoor compressor that connects to various indoor air handlers via a ductless conduit that also houses the power cable, condensate drain and tubing. All that is needed to install the system is a small 3-inch hole in the wall of the rooms you want the air handlers in. You can connect up to four air handlers to a single compressor. The compressor can be kept up to 50 feet away from the house so that you can reach opposite ends of your home. The compressor generates conditioned air based on the temperature you set indoors using the air handlers interface. This allows you to have different temperatures in different rooms to accommodate various desires. This also helps you conserve energy because you can simply turn of the air handler in an empty room so that you aren’t paying to keep it comfortable for no reason. Mini splits are easy to adapt into your living space as well. They can be hung from the ceiling or wall or there are floor-standing models available as well. They often feature sleek, high-tech jackets so that they aren’t eyesores. Most modern systems come with remote controls for the air handlers as well so that you can turn them adjust them from anywhere in the room they are installed in.
