Your home's heating process starts at the thermostat when you set the desired temperature. As soon as the temperature in your home drops below the setting you have chosen, the thermostat sends a signal to the furnace to activate the burner. Next, as your furnace produces heat, it is collected inside a heat exchanger. A powerful fan then blows the heated air from the heat exchanger into your ductwork, where it is then distributed throughout your living space. Once the temperature inside your home reaches the desired setting, the thermostat signals the furnace to shut off, ending the cycle.
